The purpose of SEMCU is to engage in any lawful activity for which a foundation may be organized and is not for any one person’s gain. Realizing that the Madera Ranchos, Bonadelle Ranchos and Rolling Hills communities, as well as their surrounding areas, are currently facing challenging issues relating to the interests of local businesses and residents.  The purposes of SEMCU are to convey, discuss, study and analyze the common concerns facing the region, including but not limited to transportation, noise, water, energy, and services provided by the County and other public agencies; to advocate for and act on behalf of SEMCU members and the region; to work with private granting agents and other interested parties to attain the above-stated purposes; to provide other services beneficial to SEMCU members and the region; and to otherwise aid and support those organizations that have established their tax exempt status under Section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (or the corresponding provision of any future United States Internal Revenue Law), and which are organized and operated exclusively for the above stated purposes.
